Fleming College will be offering courses at the IDEAHUB as part of a Leadership Principles Management Training Program. The first course, entitled, 'Building & Leading High Performance Teams' will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. On May 18, 2011, Fleming College presents a second course entitled, 'Communication Strategies for Effective Leaders.' Each course will begin at 8:30am and run until 4:00pm.

Bears' Lair - Entrepreneurial Competition
Interested in starting or expanding a full-time business? Enter The Bears' Lair!
An exciting entrepreneurial event and competition happening in Northumberland County. The competition is open to new and existing small businesses within Peterborough, Haliburton, Northumberland and/or the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Applications, in the form of a business plan and other supporting documentation (as per CFDC requirements), will be reviewed and interviewed by the Community Futures Development Corporation in the applicants' local region. The top applicant from each region will move on to the final event where the winner will be decided and announced in front of a live audience. Robert Herjavec, from CBC's the Dragon's Den, will be a part of the final show.
